If your straight trailer tongue takes up too much room in your garage or storage unit, this kit will help. Once installed, it lets your trailer fold back onto itself, freeing up to 6' of space.
When choosing the finish of your trailer parts, it's not a matter of which is better, but rather which is better for your application. You want protection, but you also want it to look good and hold up in the environments you're boating in. If you have a freshwater setup, black powder coating will give you a nice finish that will protect the parts from everyday wear, scratches, and chipping. If you have a saltwater setup or plan to boat in brackish water, you'll want to go with the galvanized steel. Galvanized steel is hot-dipped in zinc. The process bonds the zinc to the steel and gives it a layer of protection that guards against rust, even if it gets scratched.

Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our swing king bolt-on swing tongue kit. It's gonna fit a three by four inch straight tongue trailer and it has a nice black powder coat finish. So folks, the swing tongue kit will allow you to convert any regular straight tongue into a swing tongue, giving you extra convenience of space and versatility. So by simply pulling a pin once it's installed, you'll be able to pivot this at least 90 degrees, if not farther, all the way around as tight as you can next to itself, giving you maximized storage space in your area.
Maybe it's parking it inside of a garage and fitting it in there and those kind of things. But again, most small trailers, boat trailers, maybe Ski-Doo trailers, those kind of things, jet skis, rather, and those kind of trailers that have those straight tongues or even a small yard trailer and those kind of things, this will work great on. And you do get all the necessary bolts hardware for installation. Overall, I got 20 and one quarter inches long, four and five eighth inches tall. And the widest part was right here in the center at six inches.
Now this is just loosely pushed together right now as you can see, you have the open channel on the bottom, that's where that three by four inch measurement comes into place as far as your trailer tongue. And then once you would have this installed and you pulled the pin, you'd be able to then pivot this left or right. Now, obviously because it's brand new and I got it jammed in here without the pins, it's not gonna cooperate with me. There we go. So, okay, so like I said, once you get this installed and you have the pin in there, it's gonna pivot just fine.
And like I said before, it can pivot all the way back pretty much right upon itself once you get everything installed. So again, two pieces, it's gonna come like that. And then of course you have that open end for your trailer tongue to slide into, giving you maximum strength and durability once you've installed the bolts and stuff. Folks, that will wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven, thanks for watching and if you have any questions, reach out to us.
